About Me

Welcome! I’m Emily, the founder and sole clinician at North of Now Therapy. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and hold a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I am licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including schools, community mental health clinics, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate complex emotional and psychological challenges.

A particularly formative part of my clinical journey was serving as the Clinical Director of a grief therapy camp for children and adolescents. In that role, I helped young people process profound loss in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. This experience deepened my understanding of how grief and resilience can coexist, and it continues to inform the empathy and presence I bring to my current work with adult clients.

I am deeply committed to creating a culturally responsive and safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered on their healing journey.
